Capabilities
Everything It Takes to Build It, Under One Roof
Engineering, metal, wood, scenic, lighting, AV, and logistics in one shop, so the piece you approve is the piece that shows up and works.
Design to Shop Drawings
We design in SolidWorks, so the rendering you approve is already most of the way to shop drawings. That skips redraw steps on tight timelines. When a project needs stamped structural drawings or flame-retardant materials and certifications, we manage it start to finish with our licensed engineering partners.
Lighting, LED & Creative Technology
Our AV department runs rentals and show production, so lighting and media are designed into the build, not added after. Pixel-addressable LED, Art-Net and DMX control, media playback and projection, and TouchDesigner programming. We design it, supply it, program it, and install it.
Motion & Interactive
Kinetic walls and sculptures, actuator-driven movement, sensor-triggered experiences, and custom games, programmed in-house and built to run show after show.
Metal Fabrication
A full metal shop with AWS-certified steel and aluminum welding and CNC fabrication. For laser and waterjet cutting, powder coating, plating, and heat treating, we tap Chicago's industrial supplier base, which means fast turnarounds most cities can't match.
Millwork, Plastics & Finish
Solid-wood, furniture-grade pieces, laminate casework and cabinetry, and acrylic and plastics fabrication, cut on our CNC and finished in our own paint booth.
Sculpture & Scenic Art
3D printing, carved and coated foam, and oversized props, plus a network of scenic artists for hand-painted signs, murals, and sculpture from a sketch.
Graphics, Test-Fit Before It Ships
Large-format print, fabric graphics, and vinyl wraps, produced by trusted print partners to our measured, computer-cut files, then test-fit on the build in our shop. No surprises on site.
Power, Rigging & Outdoor Structures
Custom power distribution built from UL-listed components, truss and overhead hanging handled by our AV crew, and outdoor-rated truss canopy structures, with or without roofs, for outdoor activations.
Crating, Touring & Asset Care
Prototypes and mockups before the full build. Custom crates and packing plans, so a touring program packs and resets the same way at every stop. Between events, we store, refurbish, and reuse assets.
Built in Chicago. Major stocking distributors and industrial suppliers are minutes away, so materials and outside processes arrive fast when the calendar is tight.
A Build Partner for Agencies
Most of our fabrication work comes through agencies. You own the idea and the client relationship; we're the shop behind it. We turn concepts into buildable drawings, solve the engineering problems at the bench, and deliver and install a finished piece that looks like the rendering. Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. Much of our fabrication work is for agencies. They bring the idea and the client; we engineer, build, ship, and install it, and stay behind the scenes.
Do you design and build, or only build?
Most often we build from an agency's or designer's concept, handling the engineering, drawings, and fabrication. We can also design from scratch.
Do you build permanent installations or only event pieces?
Both. We build temporary event pieces as well as permanent branded environments such as visitor centers and retail spaces.
Can you combine custom fabrication with rental pieces?
Yes. Many projects combine custom-built elements with rental components to get a custom look on a practical budget.
Do you install outside the Chicago area?
Yes. We ship and install our work nationwide.
Can you act as the general contractor on an installation?
Yes. For permanent installs like customer experience centers and branded environments, we can general contract the full installation across all trades, including carpentry, electrical, AV, graphics, and finishes. If you already have a GC, we work as a subcontractor under them and coordinate our scope with the rest of the build.
